The introduction of POA for real estate agents has been a game-changer in Dubai’s real estate market. It has opened up new opportunities for overseas property owners and streamlined the buying process for overseas buyers.

In general, any company incorporated in the UAE, whether registered on-shore or in one of the free-zones, has to appoint a general manager or a person-in-charge, who is largely entrusted with the responsibility to run day-to-day operations of that legal entity.

In the past few years, we have been getting many inquiries from companies registered in Free Zones, whose major order is to make sure that their company’s Managers are able to carry on tasks from supervising the regular day-to-day business operations to representing the company before any governmental and semi-governmental authorities.

Giving a POA from abroad might seem a bit more echeloned in comparison to when you are signing it within the UAE, but it is not impossible to do so.
